all about us

Throughout the four seasons, at the base of Mt Katahdin in Maine, inventory changes as the seasons do.  We must collect most of the harvest for our wreaths either just before they leaf in the Spring and the second the leaves begin to drop in the Fall.  Beech tends to hang onto their leaves right through the winter, so weather permitting, we climb snowbanks for the best of it!  To maintain a yearly market, we must obtain all the varieties of stems we use primarily in a 3-4 week time period twice a year.  Nature is difficult to predict and so does availability and the need comes to pre-order at times.

The process to provide your natural wreath takes many hours.  We spend weeks selecting, gathering, bundling and storing the harvest used to make it.

Take a walk with us through the forest of Maine. The fresh scent of balsam fir lingers around you as snowflakes falling on your face. A cool crisp breeze is in the air to let you know the Holidays are here.

This holiday season let us bring that same fresh aroma to you. From a wreath with a beautifully hand crafted bow on your door to a centerpiece that brings old-time charm completing your table for Christmas dinner. Maybe its a gift for that special someone. Ordering a handcrafted, hand decorated fir item from the Wreath Factory will be sure to make a statement.
